Superheros: Who and what are they? This class will begin with students engaging in a brainstorming discussion around superhero archetypes. They will then use line, gesture, color, and shape to translate their own character traits into a unique "superhero". They'll end the class by creating works of art inspired by their superhero using a variety of drawing, sculpture, and paint media.

Roger Goldenberg is a sculptor, painter, printmaker and educator. His education includes an MFA: UNCG–Greensboro (1995), a BFA and BS in Geology from UNH(1991, 1981). Prior careers include Geologist, Antarctic Explorer and Researcher, self-employed cabinetmaker and historic restorationist. Goldenberg served on three non-profit volunteer boards: Portsmouth’s Cultural Commission – VP, Portsmouth Music and Art Center, and The Kittery Dance Hall. Roger has taught extensively in community centers, colleges, and public schools. He is listed on the prestigious New Hampshire State Council of the Arts Artist/Teacher Roster.
