Instructor: Paula Allen/Pollyzoom
This class will give you the skills to take your story or drawings and bring them to life. Learn about script writing, storyboarding, 2-D animation techniques and more. If you enjoy new media and digital art, then these are the perfect classes for you. Students will learn animation character design, background design, animation drawing techniques and more.
Tech Requirements: Smartphone or tablet for animating and another device for watching the class on Zoom.
Skill level: teens ages 13-16. Beginners welcome, students with animation experience welcome.
This class is limited to 10 students.

Paula Allen/PollyZoom has dedicated much of her career in the arts to children's programming and the education in visual arts, performing arts and animation. Over the last few years, Paula has created online programs for kids that are affordable and that bring out their potential as artists, creatives and individuals. Pollyzoom's unique online interactive classes have attracted students on both East Coast and West Coast. See the animation character design pictured below by talented middle school student Ocean for Pollyzoom’s new animated film on Sea Turtles! Kids can all take class from home! Paula taps into vast knowledge of the arts. She holds a B.S. in Art Education, a MA in Theatre Arts, and MFA in Film, New Media and Animation, the latter from the prestigious Vermont College of Fine Art. She is also in partnership with The Thousand Islands Arts Center in Clayton New York for an online class started together last October.
