Instructor: Patty Castellini

In this class you'll experiment by combining a variety of mediums, including ink, paint, pencils, pastels, collage, and any other objects you can find. You'll also use a variety of tools to apply the mediums. Each class will begin with playful exercises intended to loosen up your creative energy as you learn about color, design, composition, line, and texture. Patty Castellini is known for her colorful abstract monotype prints, paintings, and collages.  The Enfield, NH artist first discovered her love for printmaking when she began volunteering at AVA — a position which evolved into a twenty-five year teaching career. Castellini takes great delight in the creative process, both her own and that of her students. She believes creating art is something that can engage everyone.  She states, "It is this dual process of teaching and painting that adds so much meaning to my life."
