You'll make a selection of simple folded “books” in this workshop. These simple structures are great for zines, comics, cards, and other self-publishing ventures. Topics will include paper, layout, and duplication methods. These kind of books are great for artists who use the computer as well as for those that use traditional hand applied art media. Stephanie Wolff works with paper, text, textile, and the book form. Her projects often explore themes of weather, history, and rural life. Her artist books have won awards and been exhibited in the United States and Germany. They are included in 500 Handmade Books, Volumes 1 & 2 (Lark Books) and held in public and private collections.
