CANCELED Painting New England Architecture in Watercolor (F22)

Learn to paint the unique beauty of historic New England architecture in this fun and creative two day watercolor workshop. Students will learn elements of composition and perspective as it relates to the subject, as well as painting texture and natural materials, and how to render the unique beauty of light and shadow in a realistic manner. The class will begin with a demonstration by the instructor on the first day., followed by painting on the second. A critique and class discussion will be held at the end of the session. This workshop is open to all levels of painting ability.This workshop meets online via Zoom.

Robert O’Brien received his BA from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo and has worked in watercolor for 50 years. Since moving to Vermont in 1977, he has focused his work on the landscape and architecture of New England. He studied with James Whatford, Tony Couch, and Marshall Joyce. He is a member of many watercolor societies and has won numerous awards. robertjobrien.com
