Painting the Winter Landscape with Watercolor (W21)

Paint our beautiful winter landscape in watercolor. The subtle tints of snow will be teased out using glazing techniques and layering. One's captivating scene will utilize tonal value, composition, light and shadow. Learn to create a finished painting from a favorite winter subject, using a photographic reference. Robert O’Brien received his BA from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo and has worked in watercolor for 40 years. Since moving to Vermont in 1977, he has focused his work on the landscape and architecture of New England. He studied with James Whatford, Tony Couch, and Marshall Joyce.
