Instructor: Robert O'Brien
This one-day workshop will focus on the magnificent New England countryside in winter. Light, shadow, value and composition will be emphasized. The instructor will begin with a demonstration, explaining each step of the process. Students will then paint on their own landscape with the instructor providing hands on assistance. All levels of painting ability are welcome with some watercolor experience suggested. There will be a critique given at the end of the session. Click here for the class materials list.
Robert O’Brien (AWS NWS) received his BA from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo and has worked in watercolor for 50 years. Since moving to Vermont in 1977, he has focused his work on the landscape and architecture of New England. He studied with James Whatford, Tony Couch, and Marshall Joyce. He is a member of many watercolor societies and has won numerous awards. robertjobrien.com
