Photographing Artwork (F20)

This 2.5 hour remotely-taught class will cover the necessary equipment and techniques for photographing your own art for cataloguing, marketing, reproduction, or any other use. The class will touch on the use of natural light, artificial continuous light, and flash. Though the class will focus primarily on the challenges of photographing flat art, those with sculpture and other 3-D art will also benefit and are welcome. Suitable for any level of photographer with any kind of camera, from an iPhone to a DSLR or anything in between. This class will meet online via Zoom.

Rob Strong is a Lebanon-based freelance photographer specializing in portraiture, documentary, and performance. He has a master's degree in photojournalism from the University of Texas at Austin, and has been serving clients in the Upper Valley for more than a decade. His clients include Dartmouth College, The Montshire Museum of Science, and many other Upper Valley organizations.
