Continuing Pottery (S21-01)

Instructor: Roger Noble

Learn to center clay on the potter's wheel, make vases, mugs, bowls, pitchers, casseroles and much more. Beginners to advanced you will enjoy the clay experience. Acquire the skills of throwing, trimming, making handles, glazing and kiln firing. This class meets in-person and is limited to 5 students. No class July 1 or August 5.

Roger Noble learned to throw in his high school art class and at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine with famed ceramic artist Bill Dayley. Roger earned a BFA in Ceramics at Rhode Island School of Design and went on to build a wood fire kiln and studio in Shannock, Rhode Island where he made functional and art pottery for many years. More recently Roger has taught throwing at CraftsStudies in Hanover New Hampshire and works out of his own studio in Thetford Center Vermont. Roger brings his passion for pottery making and innovative throwing technique to his classes and focuses on helping aspiring and advanced potters explore their individual way with clay.
