CANCELED Secrets of a Green World for 9-12 Year-Olds (S20)

9-12 Year-olds: Offered in Partnership with the Dartmouth College Department of Biological Sciences. Join us to explore the inner and outer workings of plants through art and experimentation. Participants will visit the Murdough Greenhouses at Dartmouth, the College's microscope lab, and perform experiments with the Biology Department—creatively investigating plants, and the specific effects of the plant hormone ethylene, from multiple perspectives. Inspired by these visual and conceptual prompts, campers will use new and traditional art-making techniques to create both realistic and abstract works in a variety of 2D and 3D media. Secrets of the Green World is funded in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
