Instructor: Robert Carsten

This fun and engaging workshop will surely get your creativity flowing. Learn sketching and painting tips and techniques to create lively and beautiful works of art that reveal an integral visual dialog between drawing and painting. Sketch and paint along, step-by-step, with noted artist Robert Carsten, using a combination of pencil, pen and watercolor. Working on a small scale, we will create two works of art: an expressive quick sketch and a detailed study sketch. All levels welcome. This class meets online via Zoom.

Robert Carsten graduated from Rhode Island School of Design and was a scholar at Academia di Belle Arti in Carrara, Italy. He is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a contributing writer to the Pastel Journal, The Artist’s Magazine, and Watercolor Magazine. Carsten is a Master Circle artist of the International Association of Pastel Societies, and his paintings and drawings have been shown in many museums and galleries, are collected worldwide and have won many awards. www.robertcarsten.com
