Participants will learn the basics of many and various types of mechanical fasteners for sculpture applications, as well as the safe and efficient use of tools and machines to prepare students for future sculpture projects. Everything from wood screws to carriage bolts, machine screws to pop rivets and button head cap screws to acorn nuts will be covered. Aesthetic considerations of different fasteners will also be part of the class. Learn the many ways to fasten a piece of metal to a piece of wood to a piece of glass and much more.
