Instructor: Margaret Dwyer
If you spend the winters in the mountains of New England, then you know how the visual landscapes around us change dramatically. Suddenly, we live amidst icicles, frozen ponds, hoar frost, and snow. We are surrounded by white. In this class, we will explore both transparent and opaque ways to capture the elements of the frozen landscape. Techniques will include, graded washes, glazes, negative painting, and how to use making fluid. Color choices will be discussed in depth to achieve moody, dramatic effects.
